My journey to healing began in 2007 although I had received Reiki and other healing for years before. Soon after moving back to Ventnor in 2006 I visited a psychic who told me that I was a natural healer and that my home would be a centre for healing; also that healing was needed in the world by many more people now and would be needed in the future more than ever.

This stayed with me and I attended a reiki course and attunement in 2009. I have found reiki to be a wonderful enhancing experience which has helped me and in turn I hope to help many others. Reiki, together with my spiritual development has meant that my home has become a space for healing.

The Spirit Studio at Livity House was originally a space for me to teach fitness, Pilates and yoga, as I am qualified to do. Through some of my clients I welcomed the Whitelight Healers to the Spirit studio once a month so that anyone and everyone could receive healing for a small donation. I am delighted that the Spirit Studio is used in such a beneficial way.

Reiki

Pronounced ray-key. This word is Japanese and means: - rei = universal, ki = life force. The reiki practitioner will work by tuning into the energy of the universe and channelling the healing power to the recipient, whether this is a person, animal, plant or place. Reiki is a relaxing experience; it effectively soothes and calms negative states.

The healing energy helps to rebalance the body and promotes good health and wellbeing. Reiki helps by using the healing vibrations of love and light to realign the energy system. Reiki is a gentle yet powerful therapy that is non- invasive.

The recipient remains fully clothed. Treatments £20 per hour.
